Welcome Gnome

Jake has a history with garden gnomes.  When he was probably in junior high he "borrowed" a 12 " cement garden gnome from a friend's yard.  That little gnome was Jake's little friend.   He made the move to Las Vegas.  He sat patiently by Jake's  bedroom door waiting for Jake to return from his mission.   He happily moved with Jake and  Steph to their first little apartment and then again to their current condo.   It was there in the condo's little courtyard that the little gnome started to play the hiding game.  Mom Tobler would just casual move the little gnome to a new location when she would visit. When Jake would spot him he'd move him again.    Then the game took a serious and tragic turn.  It was the evening of Ethnie's Birthday and the little gnome found a really good hiding spot...on the roof.  That night there was a wind storm...and the poor little gnome was found  shattered in pieces on the patio below.   It was a sad day.

Meet Finnick.

Steph met/found him at gnome sale and brought him home to fill the void caused by the tragic accident.  I didn't even know Jake and Steph had adopted a new gnome until one Sunday evening Finnick came to hide in my yard.

He and Jake had decided my yard was more "gnome friendly" with more places to hide.

And hide he has.
with magical power to be "invisable" in the most obvious of places.

..so the game continues.

Oh Finnick. I almost brought home a friend for him. A mini Gnome, but he wasn't as cute. :)

What a fun game with Finnick. I bet Violet and Lucia would love looking for him when we visit :).
