Wrapping up the Fun

Sunday Morning we discovered that Sebastian the Elf had come
... bringing lots of yummy goodies.

 Ummmm....Chocolate for breakfast.

Janet had also gotten matching outfits for all of the cousins.
Geez Janet you think of everything... you're awesome!

Katarina Salsa (the cat) checking out the little person.

 Sunday was Benico's Blessing Day.
Yeah...
he's almost big enough to walk up to the front of the chapel by himself
but Chad and Janet were waiting for a gathering of brothers for the event.

Sunday evening it was time to officially welcome the the
Christmas season and hoist the Christmas tree.

 A couple of technology addicts.

Monday Chad, Dad and Jake searched out a BBQ grill
...bring on the "Man Food".
 Ribs!
They were GOOD!

More Thanksgiving Fun

We talked about several options for our Saturday activity...Galveston Beach,  Moody Gardens.   But since the little people are volatile and the weather threatened to be a bit chilly Chad suggested  a park just  five minutes from his house.
A park that Janet hadn't even discovered yet.
Good choice...it was perfect.
A beautiful place right on the water.

And the weather was great.
We were going to fly kites but the kids were having too much fun on the playground.

Love the little people sign language.
 Ethnie's sign for "all done."

"Jack (Jeff) and Jill (P) went up the hill to fetch a pail of water"
" Jeff fell down and broke his crown and Presley came tumbling after"
Just kidding Jeff doesn't have any crowns. Besides he's a dentist...so could he fix them himself?
 Just a thought :)

This lady-friend came home with us in my camera case.

"Come on Grampa, I want to play on the slide.
It was a great place to attempt some family pictures

Yay for sooo much fun.

Who says Thanksgiving has to be on Thanksgving

...so we changed it up a bit this year.
Karl & Jake flew into Dallas Wednesday night so they could see Jeff's world and visit the campus of a school Jake has been accepted to (decision still pending).  So the official Thanksgiving day was spent by some touring Dallas and driving the 4.5 hours to Chad's Houston house. By others..."hurry, put the tools away, we've got to get this place cleaned up before they get here".

This pie greeted their arrival
...okay there should have been two pies and a bigger pot of soup.
What was I thinking!
Amy winding the kids down for bedtime with the "The Freeze" and a few other silly songs.

Friday preparations for our Thanksgiving Feast
...simple was the key work this year.
 Presley doing the rolls.
Chad FINALLY taking a break from work and remodeling
 to relax with little Ben.
 Kemah Boardwalk.
The perfect little outing.
 Let's go have fun.
 To the Carousal...
Lucia picks the bunny on the second level.
 '
Presley's bit nervous even though she's a pro at riding a Carousal
Violet's ready to go on the dolphin.
And little Ethnie is traumatized by the event
Duke's oblivious that he's missing out on anything.
 Kids loving the biplanes.
Somebody is even more terrorized by the planes.

 Duke's still cozy and content....
Jake may or may not be be taking a nap also.
 "He's my Grampa."
"No...He's my Grampa."
Parking the strollers for the train ride.
Ethnie is finally found her favorite ride.
Crazy people in front of us.
 Crazy people behind us.
The sign said not to feed the birds!
Steph and the little people made us a Gratitude tree.
 Our Feast
 Complete with Gold Fish.
 More food prep!
Janet finally cooking in her new Kitchen.
Relaxing with a little old fashion radio
and a little technology.
