Of course they have beautiful help.

It's sooo very quiet at our house...

now that  Chad, Janet and little people have gone.  Karl is back to work and I've cleaned up and put away the remains and remnants of our glorious time together.

But here are a few last memories:

Breakfast buffet at Aliante Station.  I enjoyed some bonding time at home with Violet and Lucia...so everyone could have a more peaceful time.

What were you doing on 11/11/11?

I was hiking to the LasVegas Temple with our ward Young Men/Young Women.  A 16 mile walk...mostly on bike trails and in the "wash".   This activity not only commemorated  the pioneer's trek but was also symbolic of our  life goal...to make it to the temple and endure faithful to the end.

 

 Our "Chase" Car...offering snacks and water to the weary, coat pick-up and a ride to a few faint of heart about to die on the trail.

 There were some beautiful spots. But we also trekked through some very "rough" areas of Las Vegas that made us very grateful for area of Las Vegas that we live in and our many blessings.

Some found a few other modes of transportation along the way.

It was a great activity and worth every step!

Turtles hybernate in this kind of Weather

To give Chad a quiet break and a rest before a sleepless all-night flight home and work tomorrow we took the girls to Red Rock Canyon (and there was no room in our little car for him :)

We were hoping to see turtles in their habitat and picnic on some big red boulders.
Too cold for turtles and picnics but we had a fun time at the visitors center and a picnic in the car on the way home.

A Royal visit

 Sleeping Beauty popped in one day for a special visit to Violet.

 There was face painting.

 Dancing.

 The making of  magic cupcakes.

 And balloon twisting.

 

 Violet loved it and Lucia was enthralled! 

 Sleeping Beauty and Violet had a nice visit...

 and S.B left Violet with a few words of princess wisdom...like be nice to your sister.

 It's nice to have special connections with Royalty.

P.S. Violet hasn't acknowledged any connected between Sleeping Beauty and Aunt Steph yet :)
