It was the best of times.

The Tobler Christmas is official over...now we just have the happy memories and several hundred photos.

The Tobler Christmas 2008 started out a bit stressful as most everyone was flying into Seattle on the same day as a major snow storm hit. The snow had turned I-5 into a parking lot and there was no way we could get to the airport.

So after a comedy of errors...a long waits in the snow...hour long rides on the transit bus..a wrong bus stop...a dead cell phone, no chains for the Explorer (they were stored out at Alderson's), a certain doctor who shall be know only as "Kyle" picking up the wrong pager at the hospital, delayed flights and one canceled flight...everyone arrived safely!

And the festivities began..

A snow hike to the Sound...Beautiful!

A service project finishing a few projects for Kyle.

Amazing talent!
Competitions of strength.

Clay pigeon shooting at Alderson's
Blessing our little Greta.
Enjoying the outdoor fireplace.

Making graham cracker houses.

Several nights of Karaoke...Toblers are amazing!

Clark can really belt it out!

Janet's first real snow and her first snow angel.

A re-enactment of the Nativity...Mary, Joseph and the Angel (?)The Shepherds. They lost their only sheep...he ran off with baby Jesus. But the production went on.

Cookie baking...
and decorating. This art didn't last long.

Christmas Day at Alderson's ... Magical!
Christmas Dinner... elegant! (Thanks John)

It was a wonderful Tobler Christmas 2008!

It was fun to look at all the pics. Glad you guys all were able to be together. We sure hoped to see you for some of that time, but when it began to snow, we figured you probably wouldn't venture over the mountains. We missed you, but really enjoyed our visit with Clark.
Oh and congratulations on your newest little grandaughter. Looks must run in the family, as all your grandkids are adorable. Love, Jera
