My Dallas Adventure

My main reason to go to Texas was to help Jeff and Amy

after this cute  little person joined their family

But they really spoiled me.
First stop on the way home  from the airport
...  La Madeleine's for a yummy lunch.

During my week there I spent a lot of time with royalty

Princess Stella came with me from Aunt Janet's house.
She and Presley became good friends.
If Stella wasn't getting a wardrobe change, she was playing hide and seek.
Sometimes Stella would hide
Sometimes Presley would hide.
Sometime they would just be in disguise.

Stella even jumped on the trampoline with us.
But she did have to stay home when Presley and I went to the pool.

One day...

while Emersyn was getting her newborn photos
We made new friends at the library

 Kissed a couple of frogs

Hide behind a tree
And then just waited....But it was worth it
We got to go to Pei Wei's for lunch.

'
During nap times I was able to
stitched up a couple new blankets from
Amy's fabric stash.  And did a little mending.

 Sunday was Amy's birthday
So we made her a cake
with homemade fondant.
Then she got to decorate it herself.

She did have help blowing out the candles.

Jeff  grilled the perfect steak for the occasion
(He was out to usurp the title from Chad
..who had also grilled the best steak I had ever eaten).
The winner is....too soon to tell.
 I call for a re-match.

Jeff had Monday off
So to continue the birthday celebration
we went out to a little quaint diner called Spoons for breakfast.
...we got there in time for lunch.
We topped our meal off with a dessert waffle
since we were celebrating Amy getting older.

Tuesday
I was scheduled to fly home
and Jeff had the day off
(he did work Saturday and he is a dentist).
so he took us out to lunch at a great Mexican restaurant,
 Christina's.
(Killing a couple of hours at the mall's indoor play area)

I did cook a few time
But they really did spoiled me
when I was suppose to be spoiling them.
Thanks for the good time.

Enchanting and Magical

Lucia other grandma made her this darling Anna costume
....but it was too big.  So one of my first projects was to shrink it down to size so it would be ready for her Frozen birthday party.
 Sisters Forever
.
We also worked on elements of the birthday cake,

While I was there gnomes came and built a Fairy garden.
We are hoping the fairies from the nearby woods came to live in the garden.
Every night the gnomes would add more to the fairy garden.
The fairies should be very happy.
Of course the gnomes would hide in different places everyday.
Violet left a note for the fairies .
They left her some sea shells.
These are beach fairies...can you tell?
