Back to Provo

After a wonderful 2 weeks with my mom, we took her back to Orem to my brother Craig's.   From there Craig shuttled her to Malad where they were met my brother Gary...who took her home to Idaho Falls.
It was hard to say good-bye.  Just hoping that she will be able to come again...soon.

On the way out of Provo...after picking up a re-strung banjo...we checked out the amazing engineering on the old Provo Tabernacle-soon-to be temple.

.

The Goal.
There must be an object lesson here..maybe something to do with our mortal tabernacles and the resurrection.   It's amazing and glorious.

Clark and Rachel's Visit

...was just too short.  But we crammed as much fun in as possible in three short days.

  Papa making his salsa pre-dinner.
 Just watching the  little person

Per request...Enchiladas
Clark - Beef
Rachel- Chicken

 Serious eating
 Hiking in Red Rock Canyon

They'd been waiting for this breakfast
since they saw it on Man vs. Food.

They even kept up their marathon training.  8 mile runs to dinosaur park.
They even trick Karl into doing an 8-miler...the next day he rode a bike with me.

Come back soon...
there's still more fun  to be had.

On the Road

We all piled into our little Sentra to travel to Gramma Palmer 90th Party in Orem.    Not only was the car full of people...but all the gear needed for a little person,  dinner makings for 60, three sleeping bags and our toothbrushes.    Steph and I work a combination of engineering and magic to get it all packed in.

Traveling with a little person requires strategy, timing and a lots of stops.
Traveling with Toblers requires a lots of  food.
Our first stop was the wonderful water park in downtown St. George
...after a quick stop for sandwiches at port of Subs.
After an accidental plunge it was time to warm up and dry off.
One of many changes on the car trunk.
Sentras are designed well for that.
Just taking in the scenery.
Choosing "Leninade" for a friend.
A perfect Spring day...until we hit Cove Fort
Then it was a might chilly.

Getting the final words from our missionary tour guide.
Then on to Provo/Orem.

We traveled home Sunday
...listening to General Conference.
Steph escaping from her cramped corner of the car...
at a park in Washington Utah.
Reading names in the sidewalk
and finding the folks ya' know.

The universal game of putting rocks on the slide.
It was such a fun trip
we're ready to pack up an go adventuring again.
Hmmmm....where to next?
