I always get frustrated right before camp...wondering if it is really worth it.

But when we finally make it to camp it is always worth it
And like Child-birth...the pain of the "labor" is soon forgotten with the joy of the end product.
Our site camp was wonderful.

The girls were cooperating and getting along beautifully.
Chopping wood
The hike to the "rain tree" was great...though the wind at the top was cold and bothersome.
Hikers resting around the 3000 year old bristlecone pine.
Our Stake Presidency's skit...hilarious!
But the weather in camp was strange...mostly just a pleasant breeze with sudden gusts that would roll through the little canyon.
Then last night around mid-night those sudden gust turned brutal. We could hear them coming...then seconds later they would hit...flattening tents
Our damage was minor compared to a few other camps...
But wind advisory continues for the next few days.
And so we are home...2 days early.

WOW...for wind to take over a carport attached to a heavy picnic table....my goodness that must have been some wind! I love the banner by the way, it is so clever!
