Up til now Karl has taken care of the problem by screaming, throwing rocks and generally acting like a lunatic. I think the pigeons have been entertained and just kept coming back to see the show.
So this weekend he decided to try a different strategy.
After hosing off....
approximately 16 gallons of pigeon poop,
and painting the eves while he was up on the roof anyway,
He put chicken wire under the eves.
I will miss my little lunatic...but I won't miss the pigeons.

the chicken wire has worked for us for 10 months now. You shouldn't see the pigeons anymore!
My husband has become a pigeon exterminator. He purchased a bb gun. He swears that the pigeons talk and therefore know not to land on our roof anymore. We see them all around the neighborhood...but we are pigeon free.
16 gallons...that is disgustingand amazing at the same time. Hope this takes care of the problem. Jera
