It was a Happy 4th of July

The day started with a ward pancake breakfast and swim at the Astle's.

Of course Karl, Jake and Jake's cell phone ended up in the pool.
[The cell phone dried out nicely and, thankfully, still works!]Later I was a canning (finally the last of the apricots!)
...while Karl was a jammin'.

That afternoon we went up to Mt. Charleston to check out a new trail.
It's quite a climb
but we are excited to try it again and make it to plateau and the valley overlook.

Then we ran to Fremont street
...to see the lights
and the laser light show.

Karl liked watching the bands...I liked watching the people...

Lots of interesting people.

We ended the day with fireworks.

We didn't have time to BBQ any hamburgers...that's today.

Looks like a ton of fun! I wish I could have been there. I wish Jakob's cell phone a speedy recovery!

That looks like a lot of fun. Wow the light show looks pretty awesome, not to mention all of the other "sights". Jera
