A few weeks ago Karl decided it was time to get the pruning done.
...just in time.
Our garden is just humming with bees in the flowering plum and the rosemary bush. And the "popcorn" is just starting to "pop" on the Apricot tree.

The Cilantro is going crazy.
The kale is beautiful..
I use it in our green drink most every morning.
I've got to try making some kale chips and find some good salad recipes

The snow peas like to play hide and seek with me.
We set out tomatoes last weekend hoping for a harvest before the weather gest too hot for tomatoes to set fruit. Planting tomatoes is a Vegas gamble...it's totally up to luck and fickle mother nature whether you ever re-coup your cost and effort. We usually just get a few VERY expensive tomatoes. But being farmers at heart or addicted gamblers we keep planting them every year.
Green onions.
I love just walking out the door and pulling a fresh onion,
cilantro, mint, rosemary, chives, etc. when I need it.
The spinach just after I gave it a trim.
It's finding it's way into salads and green drinks.

I harvested the main broccoli heads hoping that the weather would stay cool enough for the little side heads to develop.
Cucumber and squash plants. They still get to spend their nights in the house.
By the time the the soil is warm enough for seeds to germinate the" ideal" growing season is to short to produce much fruit before the heat hits and it is too hot to produce.
