Exploring Annappolis, Maryland

This was our (Kimberly & kids)  last adventure before I had to say good bye to Baltimore.
I love exploring these quaint and historic little towns.

'

The  funniest moment...digging for all our cash and small change after we had ordered our ice cream and found out they didn't take credit cards :)

.

 .

Greta really wanted to pick these.

.

Another highlight was trying to distracting Charlie and Greta in the car by playing a form of "I Spy".  Purple cars are really hard to find.

Celebrate!

Today at 5:30 pm when Kimberly finished her last test we were ready to celebrate!  No more classes, studying or tests  for mommy.  Plus both Kimberly and Kyle had or were going to celebrate recent birthdays .

The kids had worked all day preparing for our big surprise.
.
 There were brownies to bake.
'
Balloons to blow up.
 Brownies to frost
.
Candles to place
Decorations to hang
and hats & cards to make.
Then we were ready to yell "SURPRISE!"

 Let the party begin.
We played Hot & Cold to find the gifts...glow sticks and punch balls
'
Blew out candles
 And ate Brownies.

My Baltimore Days

My real purpose of being here in Baltimore is to herd the kids while Kimberly studies and takes her finals.   She's been putting in some long hours.   But we've been having fun...

l
lotsa coloring
 Fort building
.
Play dough

 Straw Airplane Flying

.
When our airplanes were so beat up they wouldn't fly, we dismantled them, taped the rings to the table and used them for goals to blow little plastic lids through.

'
There has been hours of dress-up.

Greta has a baby in her tummy.
It will come out in the summer...just like Mommy.
And when the kids get a little disgruntled...we play "Don't Smile."
It always bring the smiles and giggles back.

Free Delivery

The first time Karl  & I drove down York Street here in Roger's Forge
 I notice this...and laughed!
This trip I got a picture of it.

What is kinda obscured by a tree is the Mandarin House,
 Chinese restaurant next door.

By the way...it's great Chinese food...but we didn't try the free delivery.
Maybe Kimberly will try it in September:)

A Sunday Walk

There is a small lake, Lock Raven reservoir just a short drive from Kyle's home.  Every weekend they close a section of road that runs long the lake to cars. so that pedestrians and bikers can enjoy it...and we really did.  Poor, Kimberly...she was studying and missed our adventure.
.
A little friend, Evan, came with us.

Oops...there was a slight accident when somebody was trying to walk/balance on the curb. Her leg was "leaking."
