Exploring Baltimore's Inner Harbor

The kids were so excited for our first adventure...the Dragon Boats
The boat only held 4 so Kimberly graciously excused herself from the ride and went shopping for maternity clothes at H&M that was right there by the harbor.

.
Our boat had a bit of a leak.

Kyle's military ID got he and the kids abroad the USS Constellation as Stowaways.

.
Next trip they hope to explore this submarine and the Chesapeake.
'
Greta was being a bit difficult for a family picture...
so I told her to look at the hippopotamus that was behind me.
Both she and Charlie were a bit  irritated at me when there wasn't one.
Oh...Gramma Jan and her tricks:)

Take me out to the Ball Game

 T-Ball...

.

  Best ever.  So Hilarious.

Boston - Day 3

First event of the day...exploring Harvard
.
We arrived just in time to join a student lead tour of campus.

.
Harvard Marching Band
It was a "fine arts" day on campus and groups were show casing music, drama and dance.
Next we wandered the street of Cambridge is search of the legendary chocolate shop...LA Burdick.
/
Being a chilly day we ordered a round of chocolate beverages...2 gourmet dark hot chocolates, 1 iced chocolate and 1 white hot chocolate.
And like most Tobler outings most stops are food oriented...next stop...a quick, cheap and good Mexican restaurant in Davis.
After doing our best to clean up the devastation we left...the men and children retreated to a nearby park...women to a nearby thriftstore.
After a discussion on whether to  pay for  parking and what exactly we wanted to do we opted for an auto tour of downtown Boston, the commons, the harbor and along the St. Charles river.
.
Back in Waltham we drove to the top of Mt. Prospect hill to take in the view of the city.

Next we toured Chad place of employment...Boston Dynamics.  A Robot building haven.
Dinner...our favorite kind of place...a culinary adventure at a little hole-in-the wall Brazilian grill.
Ahhhh....Another great day.

Our Boston Adventures - Day 2

So Karl couldn't stand being left out of the Boston fun and decided Wednesday to risk a stand-by flight on Thursday night...a red eye flight.

Chad pick him up early Friday morning.  They didn't even make it home before they stop at this doughnut shop.

Some of the best doughnuts ever!
Chad went to work and we went on a Boston area adventure...Drumlin Farm

 Violet's favorite...
.
Gathering wooden eggs from the stuffed chickens.
 ,
/
Chad getting ready to grill his signature ribs.
Then the famous Russo's chocolate Cake we've heard so much about. It would have said Grampa also but his presence was an unexpected bonus.
Fun Day!
